Traditions / School Myths

Every year, the Western Carolina Catamounts and the Appalachian State Mountaineers battle on the gridiron for the Old Mountain Jug. As WCU and ASU are the only two UNC-system institutions in the Western North Carolina mountains, the "Battle for the Jug" is a football rivalry that dates back to 1932.
