Since we're big, we pay a lot of attention to helping students make a successful transition to college. Our First Year Experience (FYE) program, voted one of the nation's best, provides a friendly, personal welcome to students new to the Buckeye community. FYE programs and events help students connect to each other and take advantage of all Ohio State offers.

With the opening of a new state-of-the-art recreational facility for students, Ohio State has more square feet dedicated to recreation and fitness than any college or university on the planet. In 2005, three Ohio State alums won the Pulitzer Prize (Nick Anderson, Julia Keller, and Walt Bogdanich). Associate professor of history Kevin Boyle was a finalist.
