David Iglesias, a former U.S. attorney and Navy Reserve commander, will visit Saint Anselm College to watch and discuss a movie, and to offer a lecture.

3. Ten Years After First Walk, 50 Students Prepare for 130-Mile Trek from Maine to Campus

Ten years ago this summer, Seamus Griesbach chose an unusual way to travel to campus for the start of his freshman year at Saint Anselm College. He and his younger brother walked the 130 miles from their home in Lisbon Falls, Maine. The following year, Seamus got more than 30 friends to accompany him on the walk and the Road for Hope walk for charity was born.


4. Thomas Paul, Trustee Emeritus and Benefactor, Dies at 88

Thomas J. Paul, a trustee emeritus and generous benefactor of Saint Anselm College, passed away peacefully at his home in Rydal on Monday, Aug. 11. He was 88.


5. Gov. Dukakis to Lead Panel on Economic Impact of Rail

Former Massachusetts Gov. Michael S. Dukakis will be the keynote speaker for an action-oriented discussion about the economic impact of passenger rail in New Hampshire and New England. The event, 'Rail as the Economic Engine for NH and the Region: A Time for Action,' will be held Monday, July 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College.


6. NHIOP's Donahue is Harvard Fellow

Jennifer Donahue has been named political director for the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College, and will join the Harvard Institute of Politics as a Kennedy School fellow for the fall semester.


7. Dale Kuehne to Lead New Hampshire Institute of Politics

Father Jonathan DeFelice, O.S.B., president of Saint Anselm College, announced today that Dale Kuehne will become interim executive director of the college's New Hampshire Institute of Politics for the coming academic year.
