What Makes Our School Unique

Comprehensive information about our program can be found at: http://www.bsu.edu/mba/, including course requirements and descriptions. We are accredited by AACSB (www.aacsb.edu), of which only 15% of all Schools of Business hold this accreditation. In the attached spreadsheet you will see all of the courses we offer, as well as the course schedule through 2009. Students can begin and finish the program any semester: fall, spring, or summer.

The MBA & Graduate Certificate in Business are both offered via distance education every semester: fall, spring, & summer. Being named the Most Wired Campus in the country by Intel Corp., you can live & work virtually anywhere and take this program; all you need is high speed internet and a phone! Our courses are administered via live, interactive, internet-based video streaming. We now use IHETS Interactive and MacroMedia Breeze for our distance education program administration. The highlights of this are available at: http://www.ihets.org/progserv/video/migration/FastFacts.html, while all of the details are listed at: http://www.ihets.org/progserv/video/migration/iiJumpPage.html. I highly recommend you check out the IHETS Interactive video demo.

Our courses are offered 1 night per week for 2 hours in duration. Since the courses are 3 credit hours, you do have additional work outside of class. You are required to login to IHETS Interactive during the assigned time. You can see and hear the live campus class and are provided a 1-800 # to call into the class to ask questions and add to the discussion. We use Blackboard as our online course management system for all students (on & off campus). This platform provides a “one stop shop” for all of your course needs including lecture notes, gradebook, discussion board, chat, digital drop box, and much more! Check out the Blackboard Video demo: http://www.blackboard.com/products/as/demo.htm.
