What Makes Our School Unique

In existence for over thirty years, the AACSB-accredited ODU MBA Program was designed to provide a high quality management education enhanced by many unique opportunities for students. The advantages of earning an MBA through Old Dominion University include:

Flexibility - Students can work on their MBA full-time or part-time. Classes are offered days, evenings, and weekends at our Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Peninsula Center, and Northern Virginia* locations, and semesters begin every August, January, May, and June. Our 48-credit hour program can be finished in as little as 18 months, or it can be structured over a greater length of time for working professionals with additional commitments.

Management Skill Development - Students have the opportunity to hone their management skills in areas of greatest interest and relevance by taking electives such as ethics, leadership, effective written communications, negotiation, and human resource regulations.

In-Depth Study - For students who would like to obtain greater depth in a particular field, we offer concentrations in Financial Analysis & Valuation, International Business, Public Administration, Information Technology & Enterprise Integration, Business & Economic Forecasting, and Maritime & Port Management. Students may also opt to complete their MBA without a concentration, by selecting electives from multiple disciplines to design a program that meets their career needs. Numerous study abroad options are available throughout the world for students interested in gaining a greater global focus in their MBA study. Case studies, lectures, and independent research projects are the major components of an integrated approach to the study of business management and the MBA program at Old Dominion University.
